Pre 2021 Lay-Z-Spa Hydrojet pump repair guide (white and grey rectangle shape)

Lay Z Spa Hydrojet/hydrojet pro pre 2021 model

This guide is guide is to help with dissemble your hydrojet or hydrojet pro lay z spa hot tub pump to perform tasks like repairing the dreaded E02 error or a leaky pump or any other sensor or faults. this guide will mainly show how to dissemble to repair the e02 error but this mainly covers the majority of what is needed to gain access to repair anything else as it will only be a few screw difference to resolve these issues.

The first step is to make sure the pump is fully disconnected from the plug socket. then we need  to remove the 8 screws around the middle of the pump like shown in the image which are around 1/4 of the way up the pump there is 2 screws on each side that need to be removed.

Once these have been removed you can then lift the lid but please do this carefully as there is a wire connecting the control panel to the control board so please disconnect this which is very easy to do by pressing the little clip on the connector and pulling the 2 wires apart as shown in the 1st photo below.

The Next step is to remove the 3 screws shown above in the 2 centre photos (PICTURES 2 AND 3) which is the control board cover. once these are removed next remove the 2 screws that are securing the main power cable  strap shown in the last photo ( picture 4). then after this you will need to loosen the power cable marked C1 & C2 on the control panel board  this will give you enough room to access the water pump but if you want you can also unscrew the earth cable from the heater block which will allow you to totally remove the bottom of the casing but this isn't required to resolve the E02 error (and the less you take apart the less you have to put back together.
